When Chris first met Jeremiah back in 91.Jeremiah came over to a band rehearsal that Chris was having with some guys he went to high school with. A bunch of hard playing guys that were trying whatever. They called themselves "JUSTUS". At that time, Chris had no other aspirations other than trying to make that work. But it wasnt working, and Jeremiah saw the opportunity to snatch him away from that project, and bring him in to his new vision, aka "ROCKERS OYSTERFELLA" After getting together with Jeremiah at a few jam sessions, partys, going through several applicants for the job of Bass guitar, drums,. Jeremiah finally persuaded Bill Perry to come on board, and How they landed Forrest Hascal on Bass in the begining is almost commical, but you never know what you will find on the bulletin boards of your local music store. And next thing you know, "Rockers Oysterfella is born.

With the addition of Bill Perry to the band, and his talent for vocals and drums, and let me tell you that is a feat in itself, the magical vocal harmony that makes Rockers Oysterfella signature sound was forever born. And take it from this reporters word, It's actually spine tingling to hear those harmonies. At that time, Chris was oblivious to the hustle that went in to the business, I mean look, he was coming from a garage band of high school buddies, So its was Jeremiah's experience and guidence that tought him some valuable lessons, like "turn that damn guitar down" and " dont wear your wife beater t-shirt to the gig". All the while though, Chris was enjoying the ride. Sometimes uphill battles, from changing members to knock down drag out arguements, then the highs of great road trips, Florida, Biloxi, St.Louis, shacking up in dives and A-frame cabins, to the best accomdations in the house, it was the changing bass players that always seemed to get in the way.
The vocal heart of the band was always Bill, Jeremiah, Chris, so after losing their last bass player, Jeremiah saying no more being held hostage to whether we had a bass player or not, Jeremiah switched from guitar to bass. The 3 piece 3 part harmony band was born and has been eversince. So being with Bill and Jeremiah all this time now,and the styles and knowledge those two comsumates posses, and playing all kinds of music, and covers and originals, Chris found himself becoming a better guitar player, a better singer, its something that he will always be grateful to his two brothers in music for. I remember Chris saying to me "the chemistry that all three of us have is what has gave me the ability to write some of my best songs. He went on to add that, "to write a song and have a vision for the song and the vision come true in practice and then on stage in front of a live audience, and to see them react to our music, and like it, and want to dance to it, there is nothing more gratifying". So as Chris,Bill, Jeremiah move into the next phases of "ROCKERS OYSTERFELLA" and with our special guest John "THE BAPTIST", on sax the music, the fun, the harmony will always be the driving force of this band and with new evolutions, may come their own CD.
